Under minimal supervision, directs, provides leadership, and oversees all coaching duties for an intercollegiate Men’s Basketball Program operating under NCAA operating bylaws and regulations. Directs and coordinates all aspects of recruitment and training for athletic competition, and oversees the planning and fiscal management of program activities. The University participates in the Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (“SIAC”).

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Organizes, prepares, and conducts individual and team practices, training, and competition.
• Recruits student-athletes in accordance with NCAA rules and regulations through scouting, attending tournaments, and home visits.
• Directs all aspects, areas and components of the Men’s Basketball team (i.e.; defense, offense, or various individual positions).
• Coordinates all strategic aspects of the men’s basketball program.
• Represents sports program to various institutional programs and externally to media, government agencies, funding agencies, students, parents, and the general public.
• Manages daily operations of the athletic program; directs, supervises, and coordinates all administrative facets.
• Oversees all aspects of the financial operation of the men’s basketball program.
• Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
