The Head Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for all phases of a competitive NCAA Division II men’s basketball program. Provides overall leadership, vision, and a strategic plan for the men’s basketball program, manages all aspects of an intercollegiate athletic team which include and is not limited to the management of academic success, budget management, recruiting, teaching/coaching basketball skills, planning and execution of workouts, scheduling opponents, maintaining program integrity with respect to NCAA, CIAA, and Saint Augustine’s University rules and regulations, equipment ordering, travel planning, and fundraising; strong organizational, management, and leadership skills; commitment to student learning and success as well as a dedication to growth and development of student-athletes; sensitivity to a diverse background of students (academic, socio-economic, cultural/ethnic, physical/learning disabilities); commitment and ability to abide by NCAA and CIAA rules and regulations and other related duties.
