The Head Coach will maintain and/or enhance every aspect of the intercollegiate athletic program as part of the Mission of State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota. Applicants may be asked to demonstrate any or all of the following duties:
1. Plays a positive role in helping the College effectively manage change.
2. Conducts himself in a professional manner being a positive role model for his players.
3. Ensures assistant coaches and players will conduct themselves in a professional manner abiding by the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, FCSAA, and NJCAA Code of Conduct.
4. Knows and abides by all State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota, FCSAA, and NJCAA policies and procedures, and is expected to loyally support all policies, procedures and decisions/interpretations rendered by these agencies.
5. Recruits, selects, and coaches student-athletes.
6. Budgets, develops schedules of games, handles promotions, and public relations both on-Campus and in the College district.
7. Provides academic tracking of class attendance, graduation rates, matriculation rates and four-year scholarship rates for all student-athletes.
8. Participates in fund-raising projects to support intercollegiate athletics.
9. Ensures that their student-athletes, specifically, and all student-athletes, generally, follow the rules and regulations and those of the apartments as set forth in the State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota Student-Athlete Handbook and Housing Contract (when applicable) by working with his assistant coach in monitoring on a weekly basis.
10. Participates in non-athletic related College functions, scrimmages and intramurals.
11. Other duties as assigned.
