Serve as Head Men’s Varsity Basketball Coach, responsible for all aspects of running a successful competitive program including academic supervision of student-athletes, and recruiting and retention of quality student-athletes as SUNY Delhi transitions to four year athletics. Detailed written recruiting reports will be submitted monthly to the Director of Athletics. The candidate will organize and conduct all practice sessions using the finest up-to-date coaching techniques, as well as promoting the Student Athletic Code of Conduct. This includes preseason and off-season conditioning and academic monitoring.
Maintain up-to-date accurate Men’s Basketball athletic department website. Knowledge of Presto sports stats is preferred. Promote SUNY Delhi Men’s Basketball through local media, including press releases, Regional and USCAA National Service Bureaus as well as Alumni events. Attend annual Coaches Association meetings.
Additional duties:
Coordinate fall Flag Football intra-murals, including supervision and assignment of student-workers, pre-game set up and post-game clean up, including field painting preparations, as well as coordinating payroll for student-workers. Conducting pre-season informational Captain’s meetings and maintaining league standings throughout the season.
Assist with supervising athletic student-worker staff as needed.
Assist with spring Softball field preparations prior to home Varsity contests.
Assist with spring Softball Intramurals as needed.
Participate in Athletic Department meetings, as well as Student Life Division, and college-wide committee service as requested.
Drive, transport student-athletes to away contests as needed by the department.
Teach one class as assigned by the Physical Education department.
