Organizes and directs all aspects of the NCAA Division I Basketball program including scheduling, practice, organization, budget management, public relations and scouting. Schedules all contests and events. Practice and game coaching. Recruits student athletes. Oversees statistical analysis of recruitment initiatives and targeted specific groups. Monitors academic progress of the program’s student athletes and their retention. Oversees conditioning and summer camps. Collaborates with other University departments in community involvement and public relations. Assists in coordinating media coverage and fundraising. Hires, supervises and evaluates assistant coaches. Organizes, administrates, and develops a competitive program on a national level. Supports the philosophy, goals and the mission of the university and its athletic programs as well as adheres to departmental, university, and NCAA policies and procedures. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
