Super Nova Basketball Academy is located in Dongguan, China. We are almost 5 years old and have continued to gain more notoriety and resources in the Southern China region.

We need a Coach who can play.  Demonstrations are necessary to teach here and appearance is important.  To put it bluntly; NO OVERWEIGHT COACHES. You must look like a player.

Our players range in ages (6-15) and ability (Beginner- Proficient).  These are not Future NBA or even CBA Players. These are kids who want to learn Basketball, English, and be a part of a special community of friends and families.  We want our Coach to come in and be a part of the Family.

Our Spring/Summer Contract runs from early March through July.

Responsibilities:

• Head Coach of 5+ Practice each week with our different teams 8U-16U, working with 1 or 2 Chinese Coaches to provide best programming.  Our Chinese Coaches are fairly knowledgeable and we should be able to work together to create fun practice plans.
• Meet weekly via WeChat with US Coaching Director and/or Chinese Program Director along with Chinese Coaches to recap what is going on in our program, your experience, and to establish a Lesson plan for the next week.
• Take the Lead and Execute plan for classes.  Be assertive, creating an efficient practice with positive and encouraging environment. Don’t just be a Clock Puncher.  We need a Leader who is genuinely enthusiastic and shares that enthusiasm with everyone. We need someone with Super Positive Body Language.  Parents are always watching!
• Coach our 8U-16U Teams in Travel Tournaments.
• Coach /  Help Organize Super Nova Basketball League.  Make sure everyone is doing what they are supposed to do and the games are running efficiently.
• Help with any other Business Development / Marketing Ventures and help come up with new ideas.
