The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is seeking a full-time Head Men’s Basketball Coach.
UTPB supports a student population of 4,200, 13 intercollegiate sports and is a member of the NCAA Division II competing within the Heartland Conference. The team is competitive within the Heartland Conference.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coaching, monitoring academic progress, recruitment of qualified student-athletes, budget management, community fundraising in accordance with the statutes of the NCAA, State of Texas and The University of Texas, and other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director.
A bachelor’s degree is required; a master’s degree is preferred. A minimum of three years of collegiate coaching and recruiting experience, preferably at the Division II level, is required. Successful head coaching experience is a plus.
This is a full-time 12 month appointment. Salary for the duties described above shall be $47,000 – $52,000 depending upon experience and qualifications. Excellent benefits are provided. If a Masters Degree in a needed academic area is held, the opportunity to teach can yield additional compensation.
