Essential:
Collegiate basketball experience; minimum of 4 years as a coach.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Ability and desire to motivate student-athletes to succeed academically.
Ability to work effectively with administration, faculty, other coaches, students and alumni.
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Physical Education or a related field.
Desirable:
College coaching and recruiting experience in the Southeastern US.
Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.
Master’s degree, preferably in Physical Education or related field.
FUNCTIONS:
Organize and plan for overall success of UWA men’s basketball program within the Gulf South Conference and NCAA South Region.
Organize and plan practice and game plans.
Coordinate scheduling and recruiting activities.
Assist with financial aid and eligibility matters for student-athletes.
Assist with other administrative duties as assigned by Director of Athletics.
