Responsible for the administration and management of the men’s basketball program, including recruitment and retention of qualified student athletes; academics, supervising and hiring assistant(s), budgeting, scheduling; organizing and supervising practices; strength and conditioning of student-athletes, student-athlete welfare, game management; ordering and maintenance of equipment, compliance with institutional, conference and national governing regulations; and travel arrangements. The head coach may be expected to be assigned an additional responsibility within the athletics department pending qualifications and experience.  The head coach will also be expected to work closely with other staff to promote intercollegiate athletics as an integral part of the college learning environment and support the academic success of student-athletes.  In addition, candidate must demonstrate excellent communication and public relation skills; exhibit the highest ethical standards, and the ability to work in a team oriented environment with high standards and goals.  These responsibilities are expected to be performed in an ethical manner consistent with the mission of the College, vision and values which include diversity, equity and inclusion. Other duties assigned as required.
