|The Head Men’s Basketball Coach for Wright State University will direct and build the intercollegiate men’s basketball team for its student athletes.
Essential Functions and percent of time:
30% – On-floor coaching of competition and practices.
50% – Coordinating all aspects of the basketball program including managing day to day operations, recruiting athletically & academically qualified student-athletes, fostering & supporting student -athlete welfare, practice & game day preparation, scheduling, budget management, hiring & supervising assistant coaches & support staff, fundraising & public relations.
15% – Ensure the men’s basketball program including all staff members and student athletes are in compliance withNCAA, Horizon League & University regulations which includes the monitoring of the student athletes’ academic progress to maintain academic eligibility and achieve an Academic Progress Rate to ensure the possibility of post-season play.
5% – Work with the strength & conditioning staff & the training staff relative to the health and safety of the student athletes
