Description: | The United States Air Force Academy invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The Head Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for all aspects of a highly competitive and nationally recognized NCAA Division 1 basketball program competing in the Mountain West Conference. Coaching responsibilities will include but are not limited to the recruitment and development of exceptional cadet-athletes capable of meeting the academic and athletic requirements for an appointment to the Air Force Academy and competing in the Mountain West Conference. Assembly of an outstanding coaching staff, public relations and promotion of the program, budget management, and scheduling with the assistance of athletic department leadership. Knowledge of, and a commitment to compliance with, NCAA and Air Force Academy regulations, as well as dedication to the moral, mental and physical development of cadet-athletes are paramount considerations. Those of impeccable personal and professional integrity who have demonstrated leadership in collegiate basketball coaching and program management are invited to apply. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree preferred. Candidates must have an extensive and accomplished coaching background in the sport of basketball at the collegiate or professional level, excellent communication skills, strong organizational and leadership skills, and a proven ability to recruit quality student athletes. Priority consideration will be given to those candidates who have demonstrated successful coaching achievement at the Head Coach level. |
