American International College (AIC), a member of NCAA Division II and the Northeast-10 Conference (NE10), invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. This is a full-time, 12-month position reporting directly to the Director of Athletics. The Yellow Jackets compete at the NCAA Division II level in the highly competitive Northeast-10 Conference, which consistently produces nationally ranked programs and postseason competitors.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide visionary and principled leadership for all aspects of the Men’s Basketball program, with a clear focus on competitive success within the NE10 Conference.
- Cultivate a championship culture that elevates every aspect of the program and attracts elite talent at every level—establishing aprogramidentity rooted in discipline, teamwork, accountability, and pride in the AIC brand.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive recruiting strategy to attract high-character, academically eligible student-athletes at the Division II level, with emphasis onlocal, regional, nationalandinternationalpipelines.
- Design, implement, and oversee all on-court coaching activities including practices, game preparation, film study and in-game strategy.
- Supervise, and mentorthecoaching staff; foster a collaborative, high-performance staff culture aligned with the program’s vision.
- Monitor and support the academic progress, eligibility, and graduation of all student-athletes in compliance with NE10 and NCAA regulations.
- Manage the program’s operating and highly competitive athletic scholarship budget responsibly and transparently.
- Cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, boosters, and community stakeholders to grow support for the program.
- Represent the program with professionalism at all NE10, NCAA, and institutional functions.
- Maintain full compliance with all NCAA Division II, NE10, and AIC rules and regulations at all times.

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degreerequired; advanced degree preferred.
- Demonstrated experience as a head or assistant coach at the NCAAcollegiatelevel.
- Proventrack recordin recruiting, player development, and program building.
- Thorough understanding of and commitment to NCAA Division IIrulescomplianceand/or willingness to learn all NCAA DII rules and regulations.
- Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel asrequired.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a head coach at the NCAA Division II or Divison I level.
- Familiarity with the Northeast-10 Conference landscape and region.
- Demonstrated success in academic support and student-athlete retention.
- Established recruiting network at the high school andcollege levels.
