ABOUT BERRY BASKETBALL: Berry College men’s basketball program began its inaugural season in 1986 and boasts an overall 459-181-54 (70.03%) all-time record. Originally an NAIA program with 3 national championships, the Vikings are now an NCAA Division III program with membership in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA). As members of the SAA, the program holds an overall record of 32-18-6 (62.5%). Since joining DIII the Vikings have claimed 43 All-SAA selections, 133 SAA Academic Honor Roll honorees, and had a three-time CoSIDA Academic All-American. The men’s basketball program just completed a successful 2021-22 season with a record of 23-3. They also secured the SAA regular season and SAA tournament championships. This is a unique opportunity to join a strong athletic department with multiple nationally-ranked teams. The ideal candidate will have proven success as a coach in recruiting and coaching top student-athletes to compete for conference championships.

JOB DESCRIPTION: Reporting to the Director of Athletics, the successful candidate will be responsible for all facets of Berry College’s men’s basketball program. The candidate will demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to a liberal arts education, Division III athletics, and an appreciation for and commitment to NCAA, Southern Athletic Association (SAA), and institutional culture. Along with coaching responsibilities, the candidate will be assigned administrative responsibilities in the Department of Athletics. The candidate will have experience in creating campus and community support for a men’s basketball program and its athletes in addition to continuing to build upon the competitive athletic program.
