The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Cameron University, an NCAA II institution in the Lone Star Conference is a highly responsible and demanding position.  The University has a winning tradition in athletics and is strongly supported by the local community.  Coaching duties will be performed under the general supervision of the Athletic Director.  The Head Men’s Basketball Coach will be responsible for the development and implementation of a high-quality collegiate athletic program which is in conformity with NCAA and University rules, regulations, and policies.  Duties include, but are not limited to:  performs on-floor coaching during practices and competitions; responsible for recruiting student athletes; administers scholarship program for Men’s Basketball; serves as an instructor in one of the University’s academic departments; develops schedules for the University’s men’s basketball team; develops budget within allocated institutional resources and manages expenditures of funds within developed budget; performs fundraising for athletic and other endeavors at the University in cooperation with other University personnel; provides monitoring of academic progress for student athletes; supervises professional and student assistants; performs other related work as required by the position.
