Description: | Carroll College invites applicants for a Head Men’s Basketball Coach, to provide leadership to all aspects of a nationally competitive NAIA DI Basketball program. Responsibilities for this full-time position, reporting to the Director of Athletics, include oversight of all aspects of the day-to-day operations of the men’s basketball program including but not limited to: scheduling of contests, the recruitment and retention of quality student-athletes; fiscal management; game strategy including practice and game coaching; skill development; hiring and supervising of assistant coaches; donor fundraising; alumni, community, and media relations; coordination of basketball camps; and additionally assigned responsibilities in the Department of Athletics.. The successful candidate must be able to develop positive relationships with faculty, staff, students, media, alumni, and donors while interacting successfully with department personnel and the college community. The Head Coach must conduct the Men’s Basketball program in compliance with all NAIA, Frontier Conference and institutional rules and regulations, while aligning the management of the basketball program with the mission of Carroll College. The position requires a bachelor’s degree, with a master’s preferred. Candidates will have a minimum of five-years of successful basketball coaching and recruiting experience, preferably for men at the collegiate level; demonstrated leadership ability, excellent interpersonal skills; the demonstrated ability to effectively motivate and communicate; desire and commitment to support the mission of the college. |
