POSITION DETAILS
– Take and pass the NCAA Division Rules Test
– Comply with all paperwork for eligibility of student-athletes within the NCAA, CUNYAC, and ECAC
– Works closely with the Athletic Director keeping him/her abreast of all planning, organizing, staff, and
development of all aspects of the program
– Assist the Athletic Director with managing the programs budget
-Ability to develop and manage assistant coaching staff
– Attend all athletic department staff meetings and development sessions
– Work with the Athletic Academic Counselors to monitor the progress of student-athletes
– Support the academic development and graduation of student-athletes
– Ability to operate a college van, transporting athletes to all away games
– Oversee the organization and management of CCNY sports camps and clinics
– Establish community relationships
– Works with coaching staff and AAD-Marketing to develop CCNY Summer Camp Series
– Builds and maintains effective relationships with student-athletes, coaches, staff and faculty.
– Complete other administrative duties as assigned by Director of Athletics
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years’ related experience required.
POSITION OVERVIEW
– Assists in developing and implementing varsity sport program(s)
– Recruits local and national high school and junior college players, participating in a variety of admissions events and networking with sources
– Prepares and conducts daily practice and game schedules
– Performs duties in compliance with NCAA rules and policies as well as College and University policy
– Supervises study activities for student-athletes and monitors academic progress reports
– Performs related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree and four years related experience required. Must hold a valid driver’s license and be able to operate institutional vans.
