Description: | Hartwick College is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to serve as the Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The Head Coach will be responsible for leading all aspects of the men’s basketball program, including recruiting and retaining student-athletes, developing and implementing strategic game plans, fostering a positive team culture, and promoting the academic success and personal growth of student-athletes. Working in the primary capacity of an educator, the head coach enhances the student-athlete experience and strengthens the College’s image and reputation by leading all aspects of the basketball program with integrity. This position is under the supervision of the Director of Athletics, and will make it a priority to provide guidance, ongoing assessment, and encouragement to players and staff. The head coach is expected to serve as a visible and engaged ambassador for the men’s basketball program, representing Hartwick College at community events, alumni gatherings, and fundraising activities to cultivate relationships with alumni, donors, and other supporters to generate financial support for the men’s basketball program. Qualifications: Minimum requirements for this position are a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university (Master’s preferred) with between 3 and 5 years of experience in an assistant or head coach position. Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurance through the College; appropriate licensing for sport preferred or willingness to obtain; and CPR/First Aid certification.
