The Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Huston-Tillotson University is responsible for all facets of coaching the competitive NAIA basketball program. This includes recruiting student athletes, conducting practices, organizing travel arrangements, and promoting events.

TASK & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide quality coaching and instruction to men’s basketball program participants

• Develop, implement, and teach basketball program curriculum
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations
• Plan, direct, and coach an intercollegiate basketball program
• Recruit student athletes who can excel academically and athletically
• Supervise and coordinate basketball events and activities
• Develop student athletes to their fullest potential while maintaining competitiveness and ethical standards
• Enforce NAIA rules and regulations
• Supervise student athletes on and off the court
• Assist in conflict resolution and campus integration
• Assist in budget development and fundraising for program needs
• Collaborate with Athletics Director for event scheduling and media communications
