The Head Men’s Basketball Coach is responsible for providing instruction and guidance that will allow the men’s basketball team to be competitive in the Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA).

Job Duties

• 55% – Recruit, retain, and instruct student athletes to compete in the sport of basketball. – (Essential)
• 10% – Monitor the progress of each team member including class attendance, academic performance, and personal development. – (Essential)
• 5% – In collaboration with the program director and other coaches, prepare the gym for home contest. This includes weekly safety inspections and testing of essential equipment. Assist in monitoring / supervision of the fitness center. – (Essential)
• 5% -Work closely with staff to develop and coordinate team schedules. – (Essential)
• 5% – Schedule away, non – conference games, in accordance with JSCC policy and procedure, including arranging travel. – (Essential)
• 5% – Organize and oversee off season programs for conditioning and weight training. – (Essential)
• 5% – Work within all NJCAA, JSCC, and TBR rules and guidelines. – (Essential)
• 5% – Supervise part-time assistant coach and student workers. – (Essential)
• 5% – Serve on college and athletic conference committees as assigned. – (Marginal)
