Description:

Lee University, an NCAA Division II institution and member of the Gulf South Conference, is currently accepting applications for a head men’s basketball coach. We are looking for a talented and experienced coach to lead our men’s basketball program. The successful candidate must have a strong commitment to both the mission of Lee University and the academic success of the student-athletes. This full-time position will report to the director of athletics. The review of applications will begin immediately and will continue until the position is filled. Applications will remain confidential. Those received prior to March 14th will receive special consideration.

The head coach will be responsible for managing all aspects of the program including:

Coaching the team during traditional and non-traditional segments
Planning, organizing, and supervising practices
Actively identifying, evaluating, and recruiting student-athletes.
Exemplify a strong commitment to the academic achievement of student-athletes by monitoring and actively encouraging players to succeed in the classroom
Work within the NCAA, conference, and deparmental guidelines
Complete special projects as assigned by the director of athletics
Qualified candidates must possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree (master’s preferred); demonstrated success in coaching basketball at the collegiate level.
Effective communication skills and a demonstrated ability to produce a competitive men’s basketball team.
