| Description: | The head coach is responsible for conducting the program while developing departmental and University policies. Duties include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, purchasing of equipment, monitoring of student-athletes’ academic progress, and compliance with NCAA and Southern Conference rules and regulations. In addition, the head coach will be responsible for promoting Mercer Athletics in the community. Qualifications: A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university and prior coaching experience are required. Prior Division I coaching experience is preferred. Master’s degree is desired. Experience with and knowledge of NCAA rules also required. |
