| Description: | Mercer University, a Division I member of the Southern Conference, is currently accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The head coach is responsible for conducting the program while developing departmental and University policy. Duties include coaching, recruiting, scheduling, purchasing of equipment, monitoring of student-athletes’ academic progress and compliance with NCAA and Southern Conference rules and regulations. In addition, the Head Coach will be responsible for promoting Mercer athletics in the community. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university/college and prior coaching experience are required. Prior Division I coaching experience is preferred. Master’s degree is desired. Experience with and knowledge of NCAA rules also required.
