Potomac State College (WVU Keyser), part of the West Virginia University system of campuses, located in Keyser, WV is seeking applications for a Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The Head Coach will be responsible for all daily operations of the PSC Men’s Basketball team and also as needed in the Athletics Department.

In order to be successful in this position, the ideal candidate will:

• Recruiting: Recruit student-athletes that will fit well within the mission of WVU Potomac State College, contribute to the campus as a whole, and meet roster requirement goals.
• Retention of Student-Athletes: Ensure that student-athletes stay at the institution during their athletic eligibility.
• Academic responsibilities: Assist in progressing student-athletes to graduation.
• Practice/Conditioning: Provide a year-round practice program that adheres to the rules set forth by NJCAA.
• Discipline: Have a set of rules governing your team’s behavior and team life lessons through your sport.
• Sports Information: Report scores/results and assist with marketing your team.
• Assistant Coaches: Supervise and assign duties.
• Equipment: Ordering, inventory, distribution, and collecting after season.
• Fund-Raising: Organize fund raisers to supplement annual budget for your team.
• Camps: Conduct camps to promote your program, community relations, and produce revenue for your team.
• Participate in campus events and represent the institution at the NJCAA Region 20 and NJCAA National level.
• Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director
