Description:
This is a twelve-month position reporting to the Director of Athletics and Recreational Services. This position is responsible for all facets of developing and maintaining a successful NCAA Division III Men’s Basketball program. The position’s responsibilities will include but not be limited to recruiting athletically and academically qualified students, retaining students in the program, planning and conducting practices, fundraising, budget preparation and management, hiring and supervision of assistant coaches, and scheduling. This position will also be assigned additional administrative duties by the Director.
Requires a Bachelor’s Degree, 3 years coaching experience at the college level (Head or Assistant) or 3 years as a Head Coach at the high school level preferred. Must be computer literate and posses a valid drivers license; excellent oral/written communication skills; and the willingness to work long hours, including nights and weekends, reporting to the Director of Athletics. Must have a demonstrated ability to successfully recruit to an NCAA Division IIIinstitution located in a diverse, urban environment. Successful candidates must be knowledgeable of NCAA Division III regulations and be committed to adhering to all NCAA, NJAC and institutional regulations.
