Saint Joseph’s College is accepting applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach. The men’s basketball program is a member of NCAA Division III and Great Northeast Athletic Conference (GNAC).

• Oversee all phases of the men’s basketball program including scheduling, contest preparation, equipment, team travel, and monitoring the personal, academic and athletic development of student-athletes
• Monitor the eligibility status and ensure the academic progress of student-athletes
• Recruit prospective students who are a match for the mission of the College and Athletic Department
• Conduct individual and group skill development sessions
• Mentor student-athletes; teach leadership, personal development and life skills
• Organize and implement a team compliance program for academics
• Hire and manage part-time assistant coaches
• Collaborate with the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach on team training
• Spearhead alumni relations and fundraising efforts
• Handle other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
• Previous collegiate coaching or playing experience
• Proven recruiting skills and ability to identify and attract outstanding student-athletes to Saint Joseph’s College
• Computer skills required
• Understanding of NCAA rules and regulations
• Must be able to successfully communicate and work with a diverse group of individuals
