St. Joseph’s University, a 4-year University located in Patchogue, New York invites applications for the position of Head Men’s Basketball Coach / Athletic Center Supervisor. St. Joseph’s participates on the NCAA Division III level and is a full member of the Skyline Conference.

Job Description: This position is a full-time split position with responsibilities as Head Men’s Basketball Coach and responsibilities as a facility supervisor. This position reports to the Director of Athletics. The person in this position is responsible for running a competitive men’s basketball program, which includes but is not limited to providing leadership/direction to student-athletes and assistant coaches, identifying and recruiting academically and athletically talented student-athletes, retention, scheduling, budget oversight and complying with NCAA/Conference/University rules and regulations. The candidate is expected to represent the University on campus and within the community and to ensure a positive experience for student-athletes.

Qualifications: Candidate must demonstrate a strong professional work ethic and unwavering commitment to the academic success of students. The ideal candidate must also demonstrate success in coaching basketball, recruiting student-athletes, and strong motivation, organizational and communication skills. A minimum of 3 years assistant coach experience, or 2 years head coach experience (prefer head coach experience) at the college or high school level. Playing experience and a BS/BA in related field required.
