Under general supervision of the Athletic Director, this position is responsible for oversight of recruiting, coaching, and training student-athletes in the sport of basketball to prepare them for success at the NJCAA Division I level and to ensure their successful academic progress in the student-athlete’s program of study. Thorough knowledge of basketball rules at the NJCAA level. Assist in overall gym/locker maintenance to prepare the gym/locker for practice and games. Comprehensive knowledge of keeping a scorebook and maintaining stats for the team. Calculate stats for entry into conference, regional, and national websites as needed. Be available for all road and home games. Ensure completion of all pre-game and post-game duties. Monitor conditioning drills and weight room workouts. Conduct recruiting, to include travel to watch prospective student athletes and campus visits by said athletes. Be available to monitor study hall when needed and calculate study hall hours. Performs miscellaneous duties assigned by the athletic director
