POSITION: A part-time (12%) staff position is available in UWEC – Barron County Athletics beginning September 3, 2019. The working title for this assignment is Head Men’s Basketball Coach with an official title in the contingent on performance and funding title series.  The salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Previous coaching experience.  Also required are excellent written and oral communication skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and work under pressure.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:  A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, previous head basketball coaching experience, and demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusiveness.

DUTIES: Hold regular practices, recruit athletes to attend UWEC – Barron County, drive a van to away games, reporting statistics in a timely manner to the Web Based Statistics program and the WCC Commissioner, report game results to the local Newspaper, securing the facility during off hours practice times.

Your appointment may be contingent on (1) sufficient student athlete participation, (2) budget support for the appointment, (3) results of a semester-by-semester review of performance, (4) completion of required online Conduct Training, and (5) acceptable coaching performance, which may be informed in part by student evaluations.  You will be notified of any changes to this appointment at the beginning of each academic semester.
