Covid-19 Prevention Plan

In accordance with the standards and regulations set forth by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the New Jersey Department of Health (NJDOH), Hoop Group has enacted certain procedures to ensure the health of all staff and facility visitors. The policies outlined below will apply to all Hoop Group interns as well as full- and part- time staff members.

Personnel Requirements

Every intern will need to be tested for Covid-19 3-5 days before their first scheduled day at Headquarters and show a negative result from said test. Interns will not be allowed to begin the program until their test results are on file.

Interns, as well as all full- and part- time staff members, are required to disclose any travel out of the state of New Jersey to determine their need to test and self-quarantine.

All full time employees are required to get tested for Covid-19 at a minimum of once every 14 days.

Daily Health Screenings

All Hoop Group staff and interns are expected to use their best judgement and survey their health each morning before coming to HGHQ. A person experiencing any symptoms of any illness, including but not limited to Covid-19, should communicate with their direct supervisor and not come in to work that day. If symptoms still persist 24 hours later, the individual must consult with their medical doctor for further evaluation before returning to HGHQ.

Upon arrival at HGHQ, every individual checks their temperature using a no-touch infrared thermometer. Anyone with a temperature of 100.3 degrees Fahrenheit or higher is not permitted to stay at HGHQ and must consult with their medical doctor for further evaluation before returning to HGHQ.

Work Stations

All personnel work at assigned desks that are configured at least 6 feet apart in accordance with CDC social distancing recommendations. Individuals are responsible for maintaining a clean workspace to reduce the possibility of virus and/or bacteria transmission.

Hand Hygiene

Per CDC recommendations, Hoop Group has installed additional hand sanitizing stations utilizing products containing at least 70% isopropanol alcohol that all staff, interns, and visitors are encouraged to use frequently.

Face Coverings

All Hoop Group personnel must wear a cloth or medical-grade mask over their nose and mouth while not at their assigned desk and moving throughout the facility. Facility visitors and participants are required to wear a mask or when they are not participating in active basketball-related activities.

Notice of Alterations

These policies and practices are subject to change as the state of New Jersey Department of Health and Centers for Disease Control issue new guidelines. All updates will be communicated with staff and interns as they become available.
