McLendon Minority Leadership Initiative 

The Marketing Content Creative is responsible for creating engaging and dynamic visual media (graphics and video edits) for the UConn Men’s Basketball brand, as well as assisting the basketball staff with recruiting materials/content.

Work Performed

• Produce creative video and motion graphic content for UConn MBB

• Film a variety of team functions, including games, practices, strength & conditioning sessions

• Help develop social media branding and aesthetics plan for each season

• Participate in regular coordination/brainstorming meetings for UConn MBB content

• Help UConn Men’s Basketball remain current with emerging trends in social media and recruiting—especially those specific to men’s college basketball

• Help monitor UConn MBB social media accounts

• Track latest innovations in camera equipment and software

• Log all footage shot and maintain organized video archive • Produce recruiting videos and graphics as requested

• Will meet daily with the Video & Scouting Coordinator and Director of Men’s Basketball Administration

• Will attend meetings with the Athletic Director, Men’s Basketball Head Coach, Men’s Basketball Assistant Coaches, and UConn Athletics Marketing & Creative Content Departments on a regular basis to review content, upcoming events, and long-term planning for the marketing and video promotion of the UConn MBB Program

Required Qualifications

Undergraduate college degree. One or more years of professional experience with Adobe Creative Suite is preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including frequent evenings and weekends. This position will have report directly to the Video & Scouting Coordinator and Director of Men’s Basketball Administration, along with the rest of the UConn Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff.

• Understanding of college basketball and the UConn Men’s Basketball culture

• Proficiency with Mac systems and Adobe Creative Suite programs
