Wilkes University invites applicants for a Men’s Basketball Assistant/Director of Intramurals, a full-time, 12-month administrative staff position in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics reporting to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach.

The successful candidate is responsible to assist the head coach in all facets of the men’s basketball program; exhibit the ability to utilize various technology; have active involvement in student-athlete recruitment; assist with practice and game preparation with a focus on player development; fulfill administrative tasks as assigned and participate in team community service and fundraising events. As the Director of Intramurals, the candidate will plan campus activities in a recreational setting, and schedule team, individual and league competition. The candidate is expected to hire, train and supervise student support operation staff.

A Bachelor’s degree is required, Master’s degree preferred. The ideal candidate must have significant knowledge of and proven success in coaching basketball preferably at the collegiate level. Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA and conference rules is required.
