Description:
This position is responsible for proactively identifying and addressing the student-athletes’ needs in the areas of athletics, personal development, and community involvement.
Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Identify and address the needs of the Men’s Basketball student-athletes to ensure they are prepared in areas including but not limited to athletics, personal development, and community involvement
  2. Assist with personal and professional development programs for the student-athletes
  3. Assist with coordinating summer programming for student-athletes
  4. In partnership with the athletic communications department, help coordinate all media awareness with student-athletes
  5. Work in partnership with the Vanderbilt Athletics Student-Athlete Development department to identify possible community service opportunities and coordinate logistics for all scheduled community service projects that involve the men’s basketball program
  6. Serve as the Men’s Basketball liaison for any athletic department initiatives, both staff and student-athlete focused
  7. Maintain the continual growth of the Vanderbilt Men’s Basketball brand
  8. Complete all other tasks as assigned by the head coach and/or athletic administration
  9. Comply with NCAA and SEC rules and regulations

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree is necessary.
  • Prior basketball experience is necessary.
  • Excellent communication skills is necessary.
  • Team Player is necessary.
