The Department of Athletics at the University of Virginia is now accepting applications for the position of Director of Scouting/Recruitment Assistant for the Men’s Basketball program.

The Director of Scouting/Recruitment Assistant position exists to oversee the scouting needs of the Men’s Basketball program. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: managing the entire scouting process of opponents and performing extensive analysis; preparing individual player clips and stat sheets; quantifying player performance after games for review by coaches; conducting player meetings and coaching student-athletes on Life Skills subjects; communicating with families; supporting recruiting efforts and visitations; coordinating student-athlete community service outreach with Academic Affairs office; overseeing the production of specialized training tapes as needed and the fulfillment of opponent film acquisition; ensuring video footage conforms to NCAA, ACC, and institutional policies and procedures; providing assistance with student-athlete academic needs; as other projects when required.

This is a restricted term position with an anticipated end date of 4/30/2018. Continuation in the position will be evaluated annually.
