Description:
Kansas Wesleyan University Men’s Basketball seeks a Graduate Assistant Coach who is motivated and competitive, looking for an incredible opportunity in college basketball and a contributing force to the program as a coach, recruiter, and program builder. This position would give great insight and training for KWU men’s basketball student-athletes, and a successful candidate is one willing to tirelessly recruit, as well as care for current student-athletes in the program in the area of academics, athletic performance, and overall well-being.
EDUCATION:

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED: Bachelor’s degree with qualifications (i.e., minimum 3.00 GPA) for admission to the MBA program.
  • PREFERRED: None

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED: First Aid/CPR certification (must be active within 60 days of employment); NAIA Champions of Character Character-Driven Coaches online course (must be completed within 60 days of employment); Online Blood Borne Pathogen training (must be completed within 60 days of employment); Valid driver’s license.
  • PREFERRED: None

WORK EXPERIENCE:

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED: Playing or coaching college basketball experience
  • PREFERRED: College basketball coaching experience. Experience in recruiting. Experience with NAIA basketball programs.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, and ATTITUDES – KSAA’S:

  • MINIMUM REQUIRED
    • Philosophical alignment with the mission and vision of Kansas Wesleyan University.
    • Demonstrable teamwork and team building skills.
