Responsible for specifically designated aspects of the basketball program, exercises independent judgment in providing technical expertise in the fundamentals of basketball, teaching student-athletes basic and advanced skills, and assisting the Head Athletic Coach in management of the team through recruiting, program development, fund-raising, promotional activities, and related assigned responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS A successful candidate will be a positive role model to our student-athletes on and off the field and exhibit strong leadership and strive to develop those leadership capabilities within our student-athletes.
Responsibilities also include:
- Monitoring and assisting student-athletes with academic success
- Effectively recruiting quality student-athletes
- Assisting the head coach with any/all aspects of the program.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree and acceptance into the Lakeland University graduate school program are required.
- Experience and/or coaching baskteball are required.
- Must have an acceptable driving record.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations governing recruitment, eligibility and related functions is required
- Demonstrate ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality;
- Ability to effectively manage time and priorities;
- Ability to prioritize office workflow and make effective administrative decisions to increase efficiency, accuracy, and productivity;
- Demonstrated ability to tactfully and effectively communicate (written and verbal) with a variety of individuals;
- Strong critical thinking skills;
- Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) or similar products;
- Demonstrates organizational ability, and attention to detail and accuracy;
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment ;
- Ability to work evenings or weekends as needed.
