SIUE Men’s Basketball Graduate Assistant:

  1. The chosen candidate will serve as a representative of SIUE and the Men’s Basketball program, displaying courtesy, tact, consideration, and discretion in all interactions with other members of the SIUE community and with the public.
  2. SIUE will pay for 9 credit hours per semester in this position. THIS POSITION DOES NOT INCLUDE A STIPEND and DOES NOT INCLUDE HOUSING.
  3. Chosen candidate will be responsible for meeting all graduate school deadlines and filling out all graduate school related applications.
  4. The selected candidate must maintain good academic standing in their SIUE graduate school of choice at all times. No exceptions.
  5. Preferred candidate will have high school or college basketball playing experience, and a serious desire to enter the coaching profession.
  6. The candidate chosen will be a supplemental support staff member and work directly with the Men’s Basketball coaching staff and players.
  7. Highly motivated and high energy candidates are encouraged to apply.
  8. Ideal candidate will have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  9. Primary Responsibilities of This Position Include:
  • Pre-Practice/Post-Practice + Game Set Up for the program
  • Daily Statistical Analysis related to Men’s Basketball Program
  • Daily Drill Work Supplement within the Men’s Basketball Practice
  • Video Analysis featuring the use of Sportscode + Synergy
  • Daily operational component with food ordering + pick-up
  • Team-Travel operational component
  • Game Day Statistical and Video responsibilities
  • Supplement the Coaching Staff in Men’s Basketball Player Development
  • Other Duties Assigned by The Coaching Staff
