The Operations Coordinator for Men’s Basketball will assist the Head Men’s Basketball Coach to develop a quality NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball program that will be competitive on the floor and in the classroom. Duties will include but not be limited to: Work directly with the Head Men’s Basketball coach and oversee all team travel arrangements including hotels, meals, and transportation. Assist with the development of a community outreach program and oversee the public service projects for Men’s Basketball. Additional tasks include: Recruit student*athletes for the sport of men’s basketball to complete on the NCAA Division I championship level on the court and in the classroom * Maintain contact with recruits, coaches and parents of the student athletes. * Set up official and unofficial recruiting visits. * Evaluate the student athletes physical progress and monitor academic progress throughout the recruiting season. * Correspond with student athlete through written and verbal communication within NCAA guidelines. Assist the Head Men’s Basketball coach organize and administer all aspects of our NCAA Division I men’s basketball program by providing day to day coaching of student athletes at practice and games, individual skill instruction and recruit academically sound and competitive student athletes.* Manage the budget assigned to the sport* Organize or make necessary travel arrangements as well as recruiting visits, promotional opportunities and team travel to contests.* plan and assist in the implementation of all practice session for student athletes* Position will organize, oversee, and train student athletes to maximum performance level through practice sessions, individual workouts, and conditioning programs.* Organize and supervise a strength training and conditioning program to enhance the performance of the men’s basketball program.* coordination of on- campus recruiting activities to include written correspondence with prospective student athletes and all official visit arrangements; development of annual clinics and summer camp structure; and assist to monitor academic progress. The incumbent will serve as a liaison to the Compliance office, the BRAA, High School Coaches and other groups as assigned; make public appearances or speak at civic events within the community in the absence of the head men’s basketball coach. Know and follow all NCAA rules and regulations and report any known violations to the Director of Compliance. The incumbent shall serve as a positive role model for the athletes; oversee/resolve team issues not directly associated with coaching; work with the coaches to develop scouting reports for the athletes throughout the season and perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

Bachelor’s Degree required.

Required Related Experience

One (1) year administrative and/or coaching experience on the club, high school, collegiate or professional level required.

Desirable Related Experience

Master’s Degree preferred. Three (3) years administrative and/or coaching experience on the club, high school, collegiate or professional level required.
