Responsible for the development of the Men’s Basketball program. This position will assist the coaching staff in developing game strategies, breaking down game film, planning practices and contributing in staff meetings

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Direct advance scouting for all potential opponents, including breaking down the film

2. Act as NBA team liaison

3. Develop game strategies with the head coach.

4. Establish mentoring and life skills programming for student-athletes.

5. Work with men’s basketball staff to ensure that student-athletes are meeting the academic requirements and expectation.

6. Direct and arrange all community service requests and activities.

7. Manage day to day operations with program.

8. Perform other duties and responsibilities as required, assigned, or requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous Division I experience coaching basketball preferred (2-3 years minimum).
• Values compatible with and supportive of Marquette’s mission as a culturally diverse, Catholic, Jesuit University.
