Job Description

  • Responsible for game day video acquisition, practice video, self scout and opponent breakdown of games
  • Use game analysis and scouting software to provide edits and scouting reports to the coaches
  • Ensuring that all video equipment is properly maintained, repaired and functioning
  • Evaluate film and develop scouting reports
  • Provide coaches and student athletes with on-going training and development of technical skills related to video programs
  • Produce highlight tapes and other multimedia content for Men’s basketball using innovative production and graphic techniques
  • Assistance with game day productions for Men’s basketball
  • Transporting and setting up properly, equipment for practice and game day needs
  • Video tape basketball games and practices when requested
  • Organizing non-conference and conference film exchange in accordance with applicable guidelines
  • Work with video equipment and software supplier to maintain and update video equipment as needed
  • Assist with special video and or administrative projects and support as assigned by the Head Basketball Coach
  • Responsible for abiding by all conference, professional certification requirements, and NCAA regulations
  • Coordinate a daily schedule for equipment to be cleaned
  • Assist with coordinating with opposing team for practice times.
  • Assist with camps. Send brochures to schools and athletes as directed. Organize registration and collect payment. Coordinate food, gym times, t-shirt orders, and dorms for all campus. Serve as camp coach/counselor for camp. Assist with camp set-up and clean up. Turn in receipts and payments as directed.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 1 or more years of experience in a collegiate basketball program, athletic department, athletic conference or similar environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills, exceptional administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines, and an excellent attention to detail.

Candidates must also possess a professional demeanor and the ability to work effectively with various constituencies including prospective students, current students, their families, the general public, faculty, administrators and alumni. Experience managing a budget is a plus.

One to two years of experience with college coaching, sport operations, or managerial experience.
