INTERN DESCRIPTION:
The University of Florida Men’s Basketball program is accepting applications for the position of
Video Intern for the upcoming season, beginning May-June 2019. This position will report to the
Director of Scouting, and will be responsible for a wide-range of duties related to the
organization, implementation, and maintenance of various aspects of team video and game
analysis work.
INTERN RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with the videotaping of all men’s basketball practices and games
2. Assist with game-day operations of our video department, including the live-cutting/editing
of all home games
3. Edit and process all opponent and self-scout video using game analysis software (Sportscode, Synergy, Playerlync) and other programs, including, but not limited to, in-season practices, games, off-season opponent scouting, and recruiting material.
4. Assist coaching staff with editing, organization, and presentation of scouting video/material
in preparation for games, as well as pre and post-practice film
5. Provide specialized videos and projects for coaching staff using various editing techniques
6. Assist with the set up of video equipment for practice and games
7. Assist with video exchange program
8. Maintain a knowledge of all video equipment, set up, and updates
9. Develop an intricate knowledge of Sportscode, Synergy, PlayerLync, and other basketball-
related technology
WORK HOURS:
Must work extended hours, including nights and weekends
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Preferred experience in the following:
a. Video editing software (Sportscode, Synergy)
2. Knowledge of NCAA Division I intercollegiate athletics, guidelines, policies, rules, and
regulations
3. Ability to work effectively in competitive and diverse environments
