Description:

The Recruiting and Operations Coordinator of Basketball Operations is responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Basketball Operations and Men’s Basketball Coaching Staff. This role is particularly involved in the coordination of coaching staff recruiting efforts, both on-campus and off-campus, while maintaining University and NCAA compliance.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Photoshop/PowerPoint

  • Create individualized graphics and presentations for on-campus and/or in-home recruit visits.
  • Create individualized graphics, which can be sent electronically to recruits, multiple times per week for multiple recruits.
  • Create graphic templates that can be updated as needed – ex. Zoom backgrounds, mail- outs.
  • Ability to finish projects in a timely manner, within an up-tempo environment.

Recruiting Visits

  • Produce itineraries for official and unofficial recruiting visits.
  • Coordinate meals and make reservations for recruits, their families, and the staff, while on visits.
  • Book and communicate with hotels to ensure appropriate reservations for recruits and their families.
  • Maintain productive working relationships with local restaurants, hotels, and vendors, to ensure the highest level of service for the men’s basketball programs.
  • Work alongside the travel account manager to book rental cars and flights for coaches and prospects for on-campus and/or in-home recruit visits.

ARMS

  • Have a working knowledge of ARMS and the Universities compliance requirements.
  • Input new recruits into ARMS once visited or evaluated by the staff.
  • Input “recruiting days” into ARMS and keep track of days used and days remaining.
  • Initiate workflows to maintain compliance with the University and NCAA policies. These include, but are not limited to the following:
    • Official Visit Workflow
    • Unofficial Visit Workflow
    • Admissions Tracking
    • GIA/NLI Requests
  • Submit and log all home-game recruit ticket requests, including high school coaches, prospective student-athletes, and their families.

Camps

  • Assist in receiving approval of camps from University of Miami Facilities and Compliance Departments.
  • Responsible for maintaining compliance with NCAA, ACC, institutional and departmental policies and procedures.
  • General office management in accordance with established policies and procedures
  • Other duties as assigned or requested

Education Requirements (Essential Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or applicable work experience

Work Experience Requirements (Essential Requirements):

  • Two years of relevant experience.
