Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp is the Longest Running Basketball Camp in the Nation. For over 60 years, PIBC camps have helped players of all levels improve, develop, and become students of the game. PIBC offers campers a unique blend of traditional camp experience along with expert basketball instruction from the top high school & college coaches across the country. With a strong list of alumni including NBA/WNBA Stars Sue Bird, and Karl-Anthony Towns, Pocono Invitational Basketball Camp has long been considered the premier basketball development camp in the world.

 

2023 Internship Description:

Individuals interested in joining the PIBC staff will relocate to Stroudsburg, PA for the duration of their internship. The internship will begin by June 1st and run through August 20th, though both dates may be flexible depending upon the situation. Housing and meals will both be provided throughout the duration of the internship. Working at PIBC has proven to be an effective opportunity for those looking to break into the basketball industry. The experience gained throughout the internship will provide an invaluable foundation for your personal and professional aspirations.

 

Duties:

  • Primarily serve as a Recruiting Coordinator, with the goal of recruiting new customers and participants for camp sessions
  • Various administrative duties
  • Manage incoming correspondence with customers via email and telephone
  • Communicate and work effectively with college and club basketball coaches both for the purpose of recruiting campers and staffing camp with coaches
  • Perform cold calls and update customer database with pertinent information
  • Assist in the day to day operations of camp

  • Able to anticipate needs and determine priorities
  • Adequate computer skills
  • Maintain decorum and confidentiality when interacting with high profile clients
  • Knowledge of the basketball industry PREFERRED
