The Special Assistant to the Head Men’s Basketball Coach will assist the Head Coach and men’s basketball program with external operations and projects; serve as a liaison between the men’s basketball staff and professional scouts and sports marketing personnel; assist in tracking and promoting the overall academic progress of basketball student-athletes; oversee video editing and analysis for the men’s basketball program; and assist in logistical operations for visiting teams. This position will report to the Head coach.

Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher learning
• At least four years of video editing experience with a Division I collegiate or professional basketball program
• At least four years of experience working with graphics/mailouts for a Division I basketball program
• At least three years of experience setting up logistics for visiting teams and staff members
• Must be willing to adhere to all NCAA and SEC guidelines
• Must be willing to regularly work nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• At least five or more years of video editing experience with a Division I collegiate or professional basketball program
• At least four or more years of experience setting up logistics for visiting teams and staff members as it relates to the position
• SEC or Power 5 experience as it relates to the position
