Description:

To contribute to an intercollegiate sports program by building and environment that inspires and empowers student-athletes to be champions in academics, competition, and life. This position will interact on a regular basis with: Student-athletes, coaches, staff, external partners, donors, and fans. This position typically will advise and counsel: Student-athletes This position will supervise: As assigned.

Responsibilities

Job Duty 1 –
Evaluation individual and team strengths and developing strategies for skill improvement. Support for all games, scrimmages, and practices. Leveraging technology for team development.

Job Duty 2 –
Planning and supervision programs for player training, conditioning, and drug education and testing. Providing appropriate program safety requirements and appropriate discipline for student-athletes for violations of team rules or Georgia Tech (GT) Athletics regulations, or conducting impacting team policies or the reputation of GT Athletics.

Job Duty 3 –
Develop strategies for the sports program to achieve sustained intercollegiate competitive excellence.

Job Duty 4 –
Recruiting student-athletes for the sports programs.

Job Duty 5 –
Participate in public relations and promotions for the sport program assigned, and supporting the Communications and Public Relations department.

Job Duty 6 –
Promoting an atmosphere of compliance within the sport program. Cooperate with the Athletics compliance office regarding NCAA rules and policies, including reporting requirements.

Job Duty 7 –
Monitor the academic progress of student-athletes to facilitate pursuit f a degree, including recommending students for athletic grant-in-aid scholarships.

Job Duty 8 –
Perform other duties as assigned

Educational Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Other Required Qualifications
Ability to work outside typical business hours as needed, potentially including but not limited to evening, weekends, and holidays.

Required Experience
Two years of job related experience

Preferred Qualifications

Additional Preferred Qualifications
Previous coaching experience in intercollegiate athletics strongly preferred
