The Men’s Basketball Coach is a full-time position. Coaching duties; Supervised by the respective head coach. Other duties, such as assistance with events in the Multi-Purpose Center and community relations, may be assigned by head coach, or athletic director. Attend all faculty meetings, commencements, and other special meetings called by the Athletic Director, Vice President of Educational and Student Services, or the President of the College. Effectively motivate and supervise student athletes including weekly presence in the residence hall and academic progress monitoring. Maintain a professional relationship with students and peers Duties are assist with day to day operation of the basketball program, participation and leadership of on court practice, supervise off-season conditioning, assist with game day management and recruiting. Duties scheduled, post and keep office hours as required by College policy. Duties may include the following; teaching in the Wellness/Physical Education department, up to 6 hours per semester. Contact hours and planning will be considered in allocating time for teaching. (Women’s assistant has this extra duty-coordinate the intramural sports program. Plan and implement 6 different sports events, tournaments, or games throughout the academic year.)
