Primary Responsibilities

• Provide training for a year-round sport-specific strength and conditioning program for 15 Division I intercollegiate sports with an emphasis on Men’s and Women’s Basketball
• Work closely with the two additional Strength and Conditioning Coaches to develop a comprehensive strength and conditioning program for all sports programs
• Assist in the daily operations, scheduling, and maintenance of strength and conditioning facilities
• Promote Southeast Missouri State University and its athletics programs through community involvement

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field
• NSCA CSCS certification and/or CSCCa SCCC certification
• Demonstrated evidence of motivating student-athletes
• Demonstrated successful strength and conditioning experience at the collegiate level working with basketball
• Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
• Demonstrated ability to work successfully with students, faculty, community and media
• Ability to work evening and weekend hours
• Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
• Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
