Rice Men’s Basketball Camp is looking for camp coaches to provide instruction for the  upcoming summer 2025 camp sessions. Camp coaches will be tasked with developing and  instructing boys and girls from 1st through 9th grades. 

Our day camps are broken into six different sessions with the following dates: Session 1: May 27 – 30 

Session 2: June 2 -6 

Session 3: June 23 – 27 

Session 4: July 7 – 11 

Session 5: July 21 – 25 

Session 6: July 28 – 31 

All our day camps begin at 9:00am and conclude at 3:00pm each day. Rob Lanier Basketball  Camps at Rice University offer instructional and informative basketball training in a positive  learning environment. We will focus on teaching the fundamentals and encourage campers to  enjoy and appreciate the game of basketball, while demonstrating good sportsmanship and fair  

competition. As a camp coach, you will be expected to ensure the campers enjoy their  experience, receive instruction and provide constant oversight over campers to ensure safety. The  Rice basketball camps have gone on for decades and are regarded highly throughout the Houston  area.  

Qualifications: 

◦ Direct experience with youth camps 

◦ Direct experience coaching or playing basketball. 

◦ Ability to demonstrate various basketball skills & drills 

◦ Committed to the personal growth of each camper in your group, ensuring they have a  positive, enriching, fun and safe experience. 

◦ Arrive for set up and begin camps on time and be able to work independently with no  direct supervision. 

◦ Consistent communication through email/text/phone. 

◦ Organized and efficient. 

◦ Strong interpersonal skills and can work with both campers and parents

◦ Local preferred (Lodging will not be provided)
