Dayton Basketball Camp is seeking instructors for Summer 2024! Candidates will help develop and instruct basketball day camps for children ranging from rising 2nd to rising 9th graders. We are also looking for instructors willing to help with our half-day Jr. Flyers Camps.

Our camps will be broken into three Day Camp sessions and two Jr. Flyers sessions:

Session 1: June 10-13 (2nd to 9th Grade)

Session 2: June 24-27 (2nd to 9th Grade)

Session 3: July 22-25 (2nd to 7th Grade)

1. Flyers 1: June 14th (Age 4 to 7)
2. Flyers 2: July 26th (Age 4 to 7)

Dayton Basketball Camp is designed to not only help our campers better understand the game of basketball, but to also further their interest in pursuing team sports. Our instructors will work hard to ensure that all campers who come to one of our camps will leave having worked with a staff that is dedicated to helping them have fun while learning the finer points of the game.

Monday – Thursday of sessions 1 through 3 will run from 8:30am to 4:00pm. The Jr Flyer sessions, will conclude at 12:00pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant must possess the following qualifications:

• Direct experience coaching or playing basketball.
• Direct experience working with individuals (Ages 4-16)
• Ability to jump, run, and occasionally carry large amounts of equipment.
• Committed to the personal growth of each camper in your group, ensuring they have a positive, enriching, fun and safe experience.
• Arrive for set up and begin camps on time and be able to work independently with no direct supervision.
• Communication through email/text/phone.
• Organized and efficient.
• Strong interpersonal skills and can work with both campers and parents

Compensation  $350 for Day Camps. $60 for Jr Flyers Sessions
