Description: | The Team Administrator is responsible for assisting Head Men’s Basketball Coach with administrative duties. Handle scheduling of games and facilities, “coach the coach” and game management duties. Other duties as assigned. Function in “coach the coach” role. Prepare and develop the following: Daily Practice Plan, Game Planning and Preparation, Program and Team Evaluation, and Scouting Reports of Opponents. During Games: “coach the coach” on in game issues: tempo, player statistics, game strategies, etc. Assist Head Coach in recruiting strategies and player acquisition to fill future needs as players graduate or depart team. During Off Season review video and assist Head Coach in planning strategies to prepare the team for upcoming season. Coordinate daily Head Men’s Basketball Coach’s schedule and yearly calendar. Supervise daily operations. Monitor the following for the Head Coach: scholarship renewals, weekly hours documentation report, and student-athlete participation report. Arrange all contracts for home and away games, and tournaments. Monitor budget relative to financial guarantees paid, ensuring such fees do not exceed the budgeted allocation. Oversee contract generation process: Game contracts must be submitted to the Head Coach for approval and then a contract must be generated for the Sport Administrator’s review and approval before the requesting approval from the Athletics Director. Following requisite approvals, all contracts are routed through University Contract Administration. Serve as liaison to the SEC for scheduling contests. Supervise Leadership and Character Development programs for student-athletes. Assist in the admission process of prospective student-athletes and monitor the academic progress of current student-athletes. Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations concerning student-athlete: conduct, appearance, road games, punctuality and other areas as deemed appropriate. Assist in directing and promoting Men’s Aggie Basketball Summer Camps. Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree. 1.5 years full time experience or 3 years part time, paid or volunteer experience as a student manager.
