Internship Mission: The mission of the GSA internship program is to educate its participants in all aspects of Global Sports Analytics. Through observation and practical experience, interns learn how to function in a professional environment that requires a high energy level, the ability to perform under pressure, and the utilization of essential time management skills. Through the GSA Internship experience, participants will be prepared for full time experiences in the Scouting Industry and the Sports Industry.

Internship Description: This is a FOR-CREDIT or Volunteer unpaid internship. THOSE APPLICANTS WHO ARE ABLE TO RECEIVE COLLEGE CREDIT WILL BE CONSIDERED FIRST. If you are unsure of your ability to receive college credit, it is your responsibility to contact an academic advisor regarding your ability to receive college credit prior to moving forward as a candidate for this position.

To qualify for an internship position with Global Sports Analytics, all participants MUST be enrolled in a degree program, undergraduate (Junior or Senior year only) or graduate.

Length of Internship: Fall Semester, Spring Semester, Summer Semester.

Internship Responsibilities: Video logging FIBA European games to assist with the advance scouting of opponents. Video editing/play diagramming assignments as designated by the scouting staff. Completing other various projects as assigned by the scouting staff.

Internship Qualifications:
– Background as a student manager, video manager, or graduate assistant
– Currently Enrolled in undergraduate (Junior or Senior) or graduate school
– Experience with video editing software: Synergy, SportsCode, Final Cut Pro
– Experience with play diagramming software such as Fast Model
– Familiar with high level basketball
– Proficiency with computer technology
– Must have the ability to anticipate and solve problems
– Must be able to effectively communicate
– Flexible work hours and schedule
